Yuske exited the hidden base. He gave the letter to a messenger bird and sent it off. He sighed before going back inside.

Natsuko took the batter and lard out of the fridge uncertainly. "I can make other stuff, if you'd prefer." She said.

She just looked unsure as she heated up a pan and put a bit of lard in it.

Katsu rested his head on the table. 'so um..do you live here by yourself?" he asked

She nodded. "Yeah..." She said, pouring some batter into the pan.

"Sometimes." She said, putting the pancake on a plate and starting with the next.

Katsu sighed as he lifted his head to look at her. "why don't you like...i dunno...get a boyfriend or something?" he asked

Natsuko hesitated before shrugging. "I'm not sure." She said. "I wouldn't want to date some one for the sake of it - and I'm worried about embarrassing myself." She said and glanced over her shoulder to smile sheepishly. "I have phobia of saying or doing things that will make people dislike me."
